p.s.

is the p.s. dead in the era of computer editing? you used to use a p.s. when you wanted to add something to a handwritten or typed letter and didn't want to rewrite or retype the whole thing. now that we can easily edit our communications with word processing software, etc., does that mean the p.s. is effectively obsolete? or should we still use it for non sequitur or "by the way" type information that don't really fit in the body of the communication?
